Celebrate Kyabram's 150th Birthday Year

Kyabram is in full celebration mode for our 150 Years.

Preparations are underway to mark this significant milestone. This celebration is a chance to come together and reflect on events and history that have shaped Kyabram across generations. From vibrant community events to moments of reflection and community spirit, the 150‑year celebrations will showcase what make our town great. It’s not just a birthday; it’s a once‑in‑a‑lifetime celebration of who we are.

150 year celbration - Tradition bush dance

Saturday 5th of September 2026

Kyabram is in full celebration mode for our 150 Years, and we’re kicking up our heels with a Traditional Bush Dance you won’t want to miss!

Join us on Saturday 5 September, 7.30pm at the Kyabram Senior Citizens Hall for a night of live music, laughter, and good old‑fashioned community fun. The incredible Ironbach Dance Band will be bringing the tunes, and our friendly Dance Caller will guide every step. No experience needed.

Period dress is encouraged with prizes for Best Dressed Couple and Best Dressed Single. Entry is just a gold coin, and we’re keeping it classic with a ‘bring a plate’ shared suppe

It’s the perfect chance to celebrate Kyabram’s history with great company, great music, and a truly ripper night out. Everyone is welcome! Let’s dance our way through 150 years of community spirit!

Moonlit Market 2026

Starting 26th of September - Until April 24th 2027

Welcoming back in spring of 2026, Season 2 of the moonlight market returns, after great success in 2025, promising to be bigger and better.

Kyabram Garden Club - Open Gardens 2026

KYABRAM GARDEN CLUB – OPEN GARDENS

Saturday 31 October 2026 10:00am – 3:00pm Entry: $2 per garden

As part of Kyabram’s 150 Years celebrations, the Kyabram Garden Club is excited to invite the community to our Open Gardens day this spring. Wander through a beautiful selection of local gardens, meet passionate gardeners, and enjoy a day filled with colour, inspiration, and Kyabram charm.

parkrun - Kyabram

Weekly - Saturday 8am

Breen Avenue Walking Track parkrun is a free weekly 5km event, which takes place every Saturday at 8am on the Breen Avenue Walking track, Kyabram. parkrun is a community event where you can walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate. parkrun is positive, welcoming, and inclusive, there is no time limit and no one finishes last. Everyone is welcome to come along.

Victorian Women's & Men's Par 3 Championships

Annual Event 2026 complete - Back in 2027

Established in 1958 before evolving into a Par 3 course in 1961, Kyabram’s Parkland Golf Club is situated in the lush Goulburn Valley, three hour drive from Melbourne and just half an hour from the Murray River.

With a unique Par 3 design and elevated greens, it’s sure to test your short game with hole sizes ranging from 124 metres to 219 metres. Home to the Victorian Par 3 Championships on the June long weekend, Parkland has seen many golfers challenge themselves.

Golfers of all abilities welcome. Junior and Senior events.

Kyabram Rodeo

Back in March 2027

The Kyabram Rodeo is held annually on the Friday night of the Labour Day Long Weekend, and forms part of a 3 event tri-series that also includes Merrijig and Chilton on the same weekend. This series attracts a large number of top riders from all across Australia, with them all converging on Kyabram to start the weekend of events.

The Kyabram Rodeo is one of the top 5 longest running rodeos in Australia, and has been inducted into the Rodeo Hall of Fame. The event has operated each year since it began in 1946, and began operating as a night rodeo in 2005 after transitioning from a day event on the Monday.
